  1. Klayton, you just reminded me of the stupidest joke I ever heard. Two cows are in a cow pasture. One cow says to the other "man being a cow really sucks". The other says "yeah. luckily I'm a horse! NEIGHHEYHEY!"
  2. God. What a list to try and make... Joe Satriani, Gary Hoey, DC Slater, John Petrucci, Liquid Tension Experiment, Dream Theater, Dream Evil, Disciple, Stryper, Fireflight, Pillar, Kutless, Anberlin, Disturbed, Sevendust, Metallica, Megadeth, Papa Roach, Bullet for my Valentine, Judas Priest, Motley Crue, Halestorm, Shinedown, Atreyu, All That Remains, Mudvayne, Chickenfoot, and too many others. My recent favorite is Sinner. Fantastic metal band that is writing music today the way it sounded in the 80's Amazing!
  3. I thought that might have been the case. It's quite easy for the ones who got themselves into trouble to talk big when they are unable to own up or take responsibilities for what they do or say. He sounds like just another "taker" as I call them. A taker is one who lurks in the "shadows" if you will. They never contribute anything useful. They never make their own content, but comment on what they would do "if they were building tr?cks". The only thing they "contribute" is there share of problems and issues. No, I haven't.
  4. I read the article, and I seem to recognize the name. Where from I don't know. Who is this guy? Reading what he said about MTM (especially MTM2) got me all nostalgic. I can agree, and disagree with a great many things he said. I especially disagree about how content supposedly gets previewed, then never released only to be horded. Or what he said about there not being a damage model and how it can provide weird quirks in saves, or rebounds. This is not a perfect simulation, no. But it comes damn close. We could having nothing like this to play at all. Some of us could still be playing MTM2 with dated graphics and ancient "physics", if we could get it to work on these new OS' (I cannot). While MTM2 was great, magical fun, I know that for myself in the days of MTM2 dreamed of a game where we had realistic physics, the ability to do real donuts or rebound and slap wheelies. Heck, when I first started playing RoR, I was just blown away that we would control the front and rear steering independently (couldn't do that in MTM2). This game is as close to the real deal that I think we can come for a long time to come.
  5. Shoot it over my way, Pit. I can always make it work for one of my upcoming projects...
  6. You know when I'm making tracks, they be in the vain of a good ole MTM2 custom...
  7. I'm sorry. I know I'm WAY late to the working RII light discussion, but my buddy Alex Weber got the lights to function on our old MTM2/RoR V3 Remake "Renegade". (BTW, when I say Renegade was our truck, it replaced my Hot Shoe truck at the time. I drove it to my only MTM2 Championship. After I left MTM2, Alex took it over). They are not tied in with the headlight command. Rather, they work via CTRL+1 and CTRL+2.
  8. Hand it off to someone when it's done who knows how to texture?
  9. I'm sorry but I own a Dell i620 Desktop. Windows 7 64 Bit. 1TB Hardrive with 8GB Memory. On my most detailed track (Clarkson International Autodrome) I'm getting over 220/230 FPS. When Damian Bowers and I tested the track online, in a full eight truck server, there was no lag or framerate issues. Even my first track, San Marco Arena 2nd Stop (plagued by some badly modeled jumps, too many verts that I could have joined together, and other issues), I get the same amount of FPS as Clarkson. While it isn't complete, Klayton's detailed WF14 Beta track gives me over 240 FPS. Squishy's Stadium (complete with many crushable obstacles and numerous animations) gave me 200 FPS. Unless you just have a lemon on your hands, it would seem Dell isn't so bad after all. Mine gets the job done, and I've never once experienced an issue.
  10. My old daily driver that I had for 8 years and was in service for a total of 16 years! 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix SE. Owned by my grandma who gave me this car when she bought herself a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT2. hen she gave me the car, it had 23400 miles in it. This car died at 91000 miles from a blown head gasket in January 2012. I still love the look of that car. Especially the wrap around light panel on the front. Now my new car: My grandma's former car: 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT2. Through various health problems, grandma can't drive any more. Before my old car died, she said this car would be mine on my 25th birthday. My old car died a week prior. Sure enough, this car became mine on my birthday. This new car was 8 years old when I got it (like my 96), except the 04 had 10000 miles on it when it was given to me.
  11. And your two cents are appreciated! Lol. I decided using Mark's cars for this track over Slick's old ones would be better for a number of reasons. Slick's car are all different. Different height, different length, different width. Mark's cars are all the same dimension. In order to cut down on lag (as I've heard a great many voice concerns on carpads/lagpads), Mark's cars were used. They're low lag and were easier to join the vertices/remove doubles. I attempted to do this with Slick's cars but didn't like the results. Mark's cars were the easier, better, and less tedious choice.
  12. http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/04/06/ca-senator-feinstein-calls-violent-games-a-negative-influence Well of course they CAN be a negative influence, if you let them influence you in a negative way. I always love reading these article where video games get a bad wrap, and conveniently ignore the good that can come from them. Yes, Sandy Hook, Columbine, any one of these massacres is tragic. It's horrible that people lost they're lives to cowards who have been negatively influenced in one way or another who feel the need to take out some type of anger on innocents. It's strange that no one ever seems to mention what types of movies, or music may have been an influence to the ones who are behind such a tragedy as mentioned. What of the influence (or lack there of) that the instigators had at home and how there parents may have influenced/raised them (or not raise or influenced them). How about friends? Family members? They are never mentioned. It's almost always the video games that are given a bad wrap. I also love how, well, atleast how IGN wrote it, that this Senator says GAMES, not violent games, not racing games, GMES in general are a negative influence. Now I know this can be a very touchy subject or spark a very vocal and opinionated discussion. I ask that in any remarks you make, that you filter what you say and be respectful. If the mods feel the need to lock this topic over any concerns they have over such a topic, that is not a problem.
  13. A man walks in to a bar... ...and sees this blonde sitting over by the counter. She's watching the 9 o'clock news. On the news, a man is on the edge of a building who's threatening to jump and kill himself. Guy walks over and says "I betcha ten bucks that he'll jump." The blonde replies "nah, I don't think he'll do it. You're on". They continue watching the news. Eventually, the guy jumps from the edge of the building, and kills himself. The blonde says "well, go ahead. Take the money. You won the bet. You were right. He did kill himself." The guy laughs saying "oh I can't do that to you. You see, I already saw that on the 5 o'clock news. I knew he'd jump." The blonde replies "so did I, but I didn't think he'd do it twice!"
  14. Too many to name that it's almost unfair too list any... Dennis, Adam, and Ryan Anderson. Tom Meents. Neil Elliot. Gary Porter. Pablo Huffaker. Charlie Paluken. CVH. Dan Patrick. John Seasock. Linsey Weenk. Donald Epidendio. Marc McDonald. Lee O'Donnell. Too many more that should be named that I can't think of right now...just too many favorites...
  15. Small update to Mankato Speedway - Renegades/TNT Figure 8. I know what you're saying: "it doesn't look much different from the last time we saw it." Look a little closer... I finally decided my fencing could use an update. So, I made it more realistic/authentic. Now I know what you might say: "Won't that fence cause lag?" Well for one, that's why the fencing is set to no collide. Two, that's why I redid the fencing. This new fencing has a total of 1716 verts. My old fencing? I don't know what I was thinking when I made it... The old fencing had 5183 verts!
  16. Not Monster Truck related, but I've been on tv, radio, and performed on stage (as a little kid doing plays, drama class in my mid teens, and gigging playing guitar with bands in my later teens and early twenties). That's all I can think of.
  17. Also, which version of the game have you installed? This pack, which has been stated numerous times on this forum, runs only on RoR 0.37.126. Posting more information about your problem will get you better results, instead of a cryptic, un-descriptive post.
  18. Problem as far as contacting me should be fixed. If you wish to qualify and still can't see that I'm online, please post here. I'll respond on AIM and qualify you in the order of messages (and IM'es) recieved. ALSO NOTE: I will only be able to qualify entrants until 8pm. Previously I had said 9, but my schedule has changed. That's what comes with having a full time job.
  19. What's wrong with those guys commentating? I particularly like Scott over Mark (which sounds bad because I have no real issue with Mark). I haven't a problem with those guy's commentating...
  20. If anything I atleast knew you're name from the work you released at vales. My time with MTM2 was from 02-06. By the time draggers came around, I was on my way out of the game...
  21. Feel free to jump in, Patrick! The more the merrier! I would talk to Damian first. Just let him know you're interested and he'll tell ya what he's wanting or looking for. I'm just the guy building tracks and testing physics. Damian is the boss...
  22. Pit, it would be great to have you throw down with us making content especially old school leafer content. Damian Bowers (CIDRAracer), his crew and I really want to bring leafers to ror. We're having a hard time finding people who can model bodies/frames and such to make these things authentic. If you can get ahold of Reppy, that'd be great. I tried contacting him via his email on his site about a week ago or so. I've yet to hear from him. Maybe he'll respond to you? Lol.
  23. Welcome Pit. We never got to know each other well, or at all, but I know you from Vales. Glad to see jump in the sandbox with us! Welcome!
  24. Please keep trying if you're unable to get a hold of us. I'll be available from 4pm to 8pm to qualify entrants. ***EDIT*** I'm online now! Message me if you wish to qualify! HotShoeMTRacing.
