  1. Went to work and got slammed by a rush all through lunch, and it was that much worse because one of the region managers was there watching us today. Finally got off work and got home to even more screaming and people barking orders at me, and now I'm typing this post and listening to some metal. probably gonna hit the hay soon. Got the day off tomorrow so I'm gonna go get a much needed haircut. Oh, when I came in today a girl i work with said "oh look, here comes my boyfriend!" in front of a table full of some of our oldest regulars, one of whom I've known since I started school as he is/was the janitor. She said she was joking, but I know they didn't see it that way. They were all smiles and congratulating the two of us. I wouldn't mind it, she's pretty nice and all but I just can't handle a GF right now, and I don't think my wallet could either...
  2. nope, that be DA CRIPPLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Well lookie who's crawled out from under their rock at long last..
  4. http://youtu.be/uw2PITddSIo skip to about the 13 second mark for the joke
  5. YOU ASSHOLES! NEVER, EVER DO THIS AGAIN! I OUGHTA HUNT EVERY LAST ONE OF YA' DOWN AND KILL ALL YOU BASTARDS! Nah, nice joke. plenty of lols to be had. no seriously... go to hell, all of you
  6. So far, drove 20 mins in the rain with no windsheild wipers to get to work, and got caught at 2 wrecks in the process
  7. I've wanted to try this since I first saw BF18, and now that I can, why not give it a go? So I did and I love the result! I present the 2013 Outrage Monster Truck! Outrage now sports a brand new Fiberwerx Silverado shell as well as a new wrap to better match the RoR version of the truck. The truck now runs Goodyear Terras with custom two piece rims made in house at team BBM hq with beadlocks. I'm going to add a shock setup similar to the one on Leadfoot (See Prev. Post) as well as a few other goodies...
  8. Aw, come on guys, why stop the cow puns when the steaks are so high? Also, it may just be me derping or the angle of the pic, but the hood on Max-D looks to be waaaaaaay to long.
  9. COWABUNGA!!! If you do add the cows, the track will never be complete until Army Armstrong yells that when you hit a cow.
  10. Been stuck at work since about 11 this morning and got off about 45 minutes ago. Not much to talk about, but it's something I suppose. Right now I'm waiting for a UV bake to finish so I can make a shading template for MTM2

    legos?

Just curios to know if anyone else still plays with these things or if I'm the only kid-at-heart on here. I still love to mess around with them every so often, keeps my creativity in check and keeps me occupied which is the biggie. I've got pretty good and I could probably give the official design teams a pretty good run given the chance, and enough parts. Has Lego ever come out with a Transformer that you didn't have to take apart to transform? No? I have. Two, in fact. I mostly build with the Technic/Bionicle stuff now, though I build whatever I feel like to be honest. Just recently I almost build a tube-frame monster truck, but it's already taken apart sadly. (Looked more like an erector-set than real tubing but you get the idea) If anyone cares, I'll see if I can dig up a camera and take some shots of my stuff.
  12. Awesome! Now all we need is a World Finals 1 track to tear up! ( if there is one, my bad... ) EDIT: Looks like you've got the wrong type of PEI on it. That design is fairly recent, while the Wrenchead truck ran the old style PEI with the "V" shaped shock towers. And I has proyectz to showz too! Not RoR, but it is a monster truck. I made that in Lego Digital Designer. I only used 87 pieces to make it, but it'd probably be at least $10 retail if it was a real set. (damn inflation...)
  13. Ours can't, but the one in the Mean Machines pack made by Lifter can. I made this discovery by accident when I went into a turn way too hot and missed the bridge. The truck will float and is drivable in water! if we can get that figured out with all the old schoolers...
  14. From what I've heard, it's actually the old Donkey Kong body just zombified. thought I'd throw that in. And this does look like it will be well worth the DL and the wait. I hope you guys are getting Jetter to paint Stripling Warrior, since it is his design they're using. And Boogey Van has been put up for sale on racingjunk. Said in the ad that they're not leaving MTs but want to go in a different direction with the team. Towasaurus Rex would be cool, but seeing how the truck runs in reality...
  15. For me, it's a little fear of heights, but my main thing is public speaking. I dreaded hearing the words "oral report" during school. Spiders? please... I'd be that creep who picked the spider up and chased his deathly terrified friend around with it. (Well, not really but you get the picture). I'm uncomfortable around wasps, but I wouldn't say afraid so long as they keep their distance and don't land on me.
  16. Well, I "tried" to get the car home this afternoon after it changed mechanics a couple times finally ending up with my aunt and step-uncle who did the most out of any of them to it. After I left I made it about 10 minutes away (had to pick up more paper towels from the store) and right as I was pulling into the parking spot, it dies on me with no hope of starting. My uncle came back out and we jumped it off which got it running, but we both agreed that there was no way in hell it could make the trip so we parked it down at the end of the store's lot. It's locked up tight, right under the big sign, just off the sidewalk, and the police station is a stone's throw away. I think it's gonna be fine right where it is. The hood's held on by a couple bungie cords, one reaching under the bumper into the hood release and the other reaches across it from each wheel well. No grille and one of the headlights is all whacked out. I should have a really easy time seeing what's in the ditches off the shoulder though. Paid a hundred more dollars in wrecker fees, so all that's left is to order parts and install 'em. I got about $200 to work with just to get it driveable. parts it needs most are a new set of fans for the radiator and quite possibly a new alternator or some serious TLC to the current one. Not looking forward to it to be honest... On an off note, how is it that I get flipped off for honking at a car load of ass-holes when they tried to switch lanes on top of me? if you're ever driving in Missippii, don't. Trust me, they can't drive for sh!t and they have no clue. Anything that happens is automatically the fault of whoever got hit even if they were going 50 mph over in a very active school zone for example. "Dern kids, don't they know I'm drivin' here! Get outta my way ya little brats! Gotta make it to the Citgo and get my beer before they close tonight! WHO'S THIS F*CKTARD STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF TH... SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH! WHAM!!!!!!!!" That's pretty much how it goes 'round here. You get between some big old bubba and his beer and you're beggin' for trouble.
  17. that second version of Mud Terror actually looks like something from the MX vs. ATV series.
  18. You'd better include a version without the hood too!
  19. you may or may not think so, but I've actually had a couple of offers to design wraps for a few real trucks just from making stuff in MTM2. Jr. Seasock (The son of John Seasock, AAP Grinder) asked me to design his truck and I was getting close to getting it how he wanted but then financial issues took hold. On a lesser note, I've been asked to design shirt logos for old friends I met in, what else, MTM2. It's not much, but he runs an RC league that sometimes does side acts at MJ shows and several other events in the community. People see my shirts, ask "hey, who made those?" and it just goes from there. Plus, a few drivers and crew members have accounts on monstermayhem.org. I know Harper has one and posts somewhat regularly, the site's owner is in good with Pat Summa and even ran a truck of his own for a while, and there are a couple more I can't think of at the moment. It could be as simple as proving you know just enough more than the average fan to be of use, or you may just have to be patient. I got an offer to crew at a Monster Jam in Huntsville AL. from one of the members, but transportation and funding were just too much of an issue for it to happen. And from what I've learned at work, the more dependable and versatile you are, the more they go to you when something comes up and the more they trust you with. Do your work quick and do it exceptionally well, and you're in good shape. Even if you don't want to, take any opportunity you can to learn anything they'll teach you, even if it isn't your place it may be someday or whoever regularly does it might not be available but you are and you know how to fill his/her shoes perfectly. In a nutshell, the more you know, the more valuable an asset you become. Just don't be a brown-nose in the process. Just get your name out there in any way you can and you will be rewarded for your efforts sooner or later. Best of luck to you!
  20. Just to show I still know how to get things done in MTM2
  21. Duct tape it and it'll be good as new
