AaronLurie Posted July 16, 2014 Share Posted July 16, 2014 For the first time in Sim-Monsters history, 40 plus monster trucks will take over the Kentucky Motor Speedway in an all-out racing competition known as The Monster Blog Truck Fest! Yes, that’s right; The Monster Blog will bring you the largest racing competition this site has ever seen! Here is how this will all work: In order to fill the amount of people we wish to have, we would need 48 sign ups and a few extra for fill ins. If we do not get 48, the amount of competitors will be divided into 4 groups, and those will be the brackets. If you sign up, you race. There will be no qualifying; instead you will be seeded randomly into one of the 4 brackets that are set up to decide our championship bracket. The semi-finalists of all 4 brackets will be automatically seeded into the Championship Bracket where the best racer out of all 48 competitors will be crowned. The 4 brackets will be run until completion and during the semi-finals; each racer will be timed for lane choice in the Championship Bracket. Days of competition: The 4 brackets will be split into 2 days of competition. Day 1: (August 1st) 5:00 PM EST: Bracket #1 About 6:30 PM EST Bracket #2 Day 2: (August 2nd) 5:00 PM EST: Bracket #3 About 6:00 PM EST: Bracket #4 About 7:00 PM EST: Championship Bracket (Livestreamed on Twitch) Bracket links: For now, these brackets are empty, but they will be filled after sign ups close. If you can’t make it on Saturday at 7:00, you will miss your chance at the Championship bracket. You will still be allowed to race in another bracket, but if you qualify for the championship bracket, you will receive a fill in for your spot. The track that we have set up is a simple but unique track layout, the track is not fully complete yet, but here is a sneak peek: A track description will be explained more towards the date of the event.
