Zane updated the truck list for the Montgomery County Fair in Gaithersburg, Quad chaos, Dirt Crew, Ice cream man, Xtermagator, Stinger, Hurricane Force, Killer bee, Red solo Truck, equalizer and car killer. Killer line up with what appears to be a killer track, although i'm a little skeptical... The cross over jump with be in a narrow section of the track with a few buildings in between, hopefully we don't have a repeat of Snake Bite in 1991 lol. I'm thrilled for this show, but so upset I can't go both days

Killer. Killer everywhere

Tough night tonight here in Gaithersburg.  For one the mic stopped working when the trucks came out for introductions.  After about three minutes of the drivers standing on their trucks they were told to get back in and head back to the hot pits.  After 6 out of 9 trucks qualified on the tough course. Tim Bee and Killer Bee came out and came up short on the landing ramp of the over-under jump.  With the ramp being made of dumpsters covered in dirt, the top dumpster was pretty well destroyed after the rear end of the truck tripped over it.  Also it probably didn't help that Tim just switched to PEI shocks in the year and were extremely stiff, so that probably didn't help the ramp.

After attempting to repair the top dumpster with no luck the track crew gave up and went to straight line drag.  Joe Sylvester driving Dirt Crew won that portion of the show.  Then Zane's Car Killer tank came out and destroyed the motor home in the center of the track.

With having lost about 20 minutes with trying to repair the dumpster freestyle began with out an intermission.  Promising to have one truck jump over another, Zane and Brandon Budd came out to do a duel freestyle with Stinger in between the take off and landing ramps.  During that duel freestyle Zane went for the big jump and slid off to the left and ended up taking out the stairs to the announcers booth, with no one in it.

Freestyle was also cut one truck short with Ice Cream Man not competing. Overall the event was OK, could have been done better and would have been great if the ramps held up.  The track crew also didn't have time to prep the track for freestyle since they were already short on time, so the turning car and van on the right side of the track were left where they were casing Mike Hawkins to turn his truck over.

Tim Bee just brought some new 30" PEI bottom accumulator shocks for the rear of the truck, but I'm not sure if he's planning on throwing some 26" PEIs on the front of it yet. He's still got the older King shocks on the front.

Oh, and it looks like Tom Herzog has quite a bit of work to do this week at the shop...
