  1. Alright, just to let everyone know I'm gonna be locking this thread since I was unable to edit the original post. So far there's only folders for Monster Truck Logos and Promoter Logos, I thought I had saved the other folders Edy had on my Google Drive but that doesn't seem to be the case. As soon as we can get enough logos for those other types, I'll make folders for them and add them to the main post on the new thread.
  2. Alright, since I'm unable to edit the old thread I'm gonna go ahead and make a new one. Within this thread you will find links to Google Drive folders containing logos and fonts for use with most aspects of what we do here, from monster truck logos, to logos for promoters, to banner logos, sponsors ect. Please feel free to post logos and fonts in the comments, but you must specify whether the logo is: - An original creation (made by you or someone else), and if you are posting someone else's work make sure you have their permission to post it and give them credit. - Found on a website or forum, or from some other fashion of search. You can also use this thread to ask for help in finding logos or fonts or possibly getting them made. If you wanna to add logos to the collection, just say as much on your post and I will add them asap. Also if you want a logo removed just let me know and it'll be taken care of, I will also add folders for other types of logos when needed. Monster Truck Logos Logos and graphics from trucks past to present. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1M8BPEnTGnA3CdnNN7InsQUcP8lUunPlD Promoter Logos Logos from various promotions that put on monster truck events. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1GYvSek6nx7eRUQGL2kd4TORLoLurIAXb Special thanks to all of these members who've helped contribute to this thread. 3. Yup, just had irl stuff get in the way (and I'll admit I kinda forgot about it a little bit too lol). I'll get all of them sorted out and update the link in the next few days.
I liked the original version of this truck quite a bit, but this is leap and bounds better. Been nice to see the improvement of your trucks over the course of the last several months, and also props for using a body doesn't see much love in the customs area.
  4. I literally have no idea what I'm gonna do with this, was just in the mood to mess around in blender and voila. Body was made by either Sheets or Fern (not sure which) and the chassis is the old Xtermigator from Kozak's pack. But I did have to heavily modify said chassis to fit the body on it properly, to show you how much I present this little extra show and tell pic. On the bottom is the original chassis, and on top is the one I modified.
  5. Good job on both, there are a couple things I think could really make the Ole Glory scheme pop more but there's nothing wrong with it at all; we all start somewhere and trust me my first few paints were nothing to write home about. Keep up the good work.
  6. Man, what an absolute blast tonight was! Needless to say, King Of The Hill is back and in a very big way. From qualifying, to 2 wheel skill, to racing, to freestyle everyone was on their game and pushed each other to the limit. Before it all got started, there was a random draw to see who would drive what. After that was taken care of, we went right into qualifying and both Jack Merkle Jr in Over Bored and Jon Zimmer Jr in Overkill Evolution showed themselves to be the class of the field as they were the only drivers to make it in the 44 sec range. As racing progressed it became a situation where all chalk made it to the semi finals, Q1 vs Q4 and Q2 vs Q3. The first race actually had a surprising outcome as at first it seemed that Merkle Jr in Over Bored got the win, but upon video review it was shown that he red lit which handed the win over to Damian Bowers in Black Pearl. Second race featured Zimmer Jr in Overkill Evolution against Jon Soto in Jester and while Soto gave it his best shot, Zimmer Jr was just on a rail and moved on to the finals. The finals race was an absolute barn burner with both drivers flying around the course, but in the final corner Bowers cut it too tight, clipped a tire, and rolled trying to stay in the throttle to finish the run; which lead to Zimmer Jr picking up the racing win in his first ever KOTH event. We then moved onto 2 wheel skill, a newer addition to KOTH this year. Each driver got 2 chances to do their best 2 wheel maneuver to impress the judges, with the winner getting 1 bonus point added to their total score. The fans got their monies worth as everyone showed out displaying their control over these massive beasts, with especially impressive performances by Soto in Jester, Ryan McCauley in Hooked, and Zimmer Jr in Overkill Evolution. But the far and away winner was Brandon Scalf in Stone Crusher, another KOTH rookie. After performing one of the longest stoppie/moonwalks we've ever seen, he backed it up with an equally impressive second effort to take home the win. Then it was onto freestyle and top to bottom every driver put on a show, leaving the crowd in Nashville in awe. Julio Vellon Jr in Higher Education set the pace as the first truck out and had a good run going before a stoppie went wrong and he ended up turtled near the front stretch, earning him a score of 19. After that we saw Brad Kerlin in Barbarian lay down a solid effort filling time to take the lead with a 21, but it didn't last long as both Zach Steele in Bad Company and McCauley in Hooked threw down and beat Kerlin's score with a 25. Their time in the hot seat was also short lived, as Zimmer Jr brought Overkill Evolution out and blistered the track with momentum and technicality that brought the crowd to it's feet and earned him a 27; which left the remaining drivers only 3 points to work with. It seemed like Zimmer Jr possibly had the freestyle win locked up at that point, Jack Merkle tried his hardest to best it though, putting Over Bored through it's paces; but a bad bounce ended his run early with a score of 20. But no one was prepared for what happened after that, as Joey Burgy in Saigon Shaker came out and absolutely stunned everyone with one of the best freestyle runs ever witnessed in KOTH history. Burgy was not happy with his performances in the previous parts of the show, and he took it out on the truck and track in grand style. The run had everything you could ask for from a freestyle (momentum, big air, technicality, and wow factor), and earned him a well deserved perfect score of 30. The last 3 trucks had their work cut out for them, and they went for broke trying to equal Burgy's performance. Damian Bowers was on his way to an amazing run in Black Pearl, but bad luck struck him again and his run ended early with a score of 22. Jon Soto in Jester got close as he tied Zimmer Jr for second place with an awesome run in his own right, including being the only one to land any variation of the backflip cleanly; but he just didn't have the wow factor of Saigon. Last out was the 2 wheel skill winner Brandon Scalf in Stone Crusher, and he was on his way to making things hard on the judges but a failed attempt at a corkscrew ended his night with a score of 20 and gave the win to Burgy and Saigon Shaker. But then came time for the moment everyone was waiting for, just who was King Of The Hill here in the Music City? The crowd waited with baited breath as officials tallied up the points, and after all was said and done Jon Zimmer Jr and Overkill Evolution took the crown by 4 points over Jon Soto in Jester! Jack Merkle and Damian Bowers were tied for 3rd in points, but Merkle got the tie breaker for being fast qualifier. Rounding out the top 5 was Joey Burgy in Saigon Shaker, as his perfect score in freestyle helped him edge out Brandon Scalf in Stone Crusher by 1 point. I personally wanna thank everyone who came out to compete tonight, you guys made everything super easy for me as an event director and made the return of KOTH a massive success. It was also great to see a mixture of KOTH veterans and rookies, and I'm also happy to have a full turnout for this after it being on hiatus for 3 years. The full statistical results for the show will be listed below and added to the KOTH stats thread. Congrats to all of the winners and I hope to see y'all at the next one, which is gonna happen sooner than you think 😉. Also be on the lookout for the video of tonight's event that was filmed and edited by Will Meyer of Zonr Creations. 7. Ok, it's 6:30. For those with a spot who didn't make the driver's meeting, you will be replaced with an alternate!
  8. Alright folks, from this point on all signups will be looked at as alternates. If 1 of the 10 people above don't/won't make it, we will look to alternates to fill the field.
  9. *NOTICE TO ALL COMPETITORS* I found some issues with some of the trucks where 4 of them were geared differently from the rest, this resulted in said trucks being at minimum 2 mph faster than the rest. Due to this, I redid the gearing on those 4 trucks to match the others so that they're even across the board. Below is a link to a zip with the 4 corrected truck files, please download them and put them in the respective zips. http://www.mediafire.com/file/a7oa54yll1sx9fr/koth_truck_file_replacements.zip/file
  10. Please note, I have switched over to Zach Steele's Over Bored and Black Pearl; please make sure to download those trucks as those are the ones we will use for the event.
  11. "It's been many a dawn and sunset since the king was subjugated from his throne, but now the once great ruler has emerged from the shadows to reclaim his former glory." Oh yes folks, you read that correctly. After 3 long years King Of The Hill is back with a vengeance, and to kick off "The Reclamation" we're headed back to one of the more iconic locations in the history of series: the infamous Nashville Superspeedway! 10 of the best trucks in the sport have descended upon the 1.3 mile concrete behemoth to write yet another chapter in the storied history of these mammoth machines within this facility. Many of you may remember the wild crossover course that was run here way back when, a course that pushed drivers to their limits and gave us some of the most amazing races we've ever seen. Well, we remember it rather fondly and figured there was no better course to use here, but obviously we had to take it to another level. This has all the makings of being one of the wildest KOTH events ever held, and we sincerely hope it is. Now with all of that outta the way, lets get down to the details that you'll need to know about. Signups will open Wednesday, June 26th, 2019 at 8pm eastern. Event will take place Saturday, June 29th, 2019; driver's meeting will begin at 6:30pm eastern. Here is the template to use for your signup: Name: Discord Username: We will be using the Sim Monsters Special Events server for this event: https://discord.gg/hUrcFZn We will be using RoR version 0.4.6 for this event: http://www.mediafire.com/file/642rm1r9a31o94b/Rigs-of-Rods-0.4.6.exe/file Here's a link to the track: http://sim-monsters.com/files/file/2599-★★★-smra-nashville-superspeedway-2017-★★★/ Now you may notice in that template that there's nothing about listing a truck. Well that's because, unlike previous KOTH events, you won't be picking out a truck when posting your sign up. This time around you will only be claiming a spot in the show, reason being is because your truck will be given to you by random draw at the conclusion of the drivers meeting. Also remember that signups are first come first serve, so if you wanna compete you better be ready cause historically these events fill up fast. After the 10 spots are claimed, all other sign ups will be looked at as alternates in the event one of the original 10 can't make it. Also, please note that all competitors must be in the voice chat by 6:30pm eastern sharp, if you're not you will be replaced by an alternate; no exceptions. Below are links to the trucks that will be used, and the names of the exact truck files will also be listed; said listed truck files are the ones that MUST be used, no exceptions. I went through and fixed issues on the trucks to make sure they're even and working in .4, so please download them and make sure they overwrite the previous version you might have. Modifications to the trucks in any form ARE NOT allowed, and if we suspect that you have altered the truck you're running in any way you will be disqualified from the event and suspended from running in KOTH events for the rest of the year. Full details on how everything will go including the event format and rules for each competition will be explained during the driver's meeting. Now without further ado, here is the full list of trucks. And remember, the names you see listed below are the exact names of the trucks in game that must be used: Overkill Evolution 2019 - http://www.mediafire.com/file/aqsrqm6oqevbvbc/OverkillEvo%26Stallion2019.zip/file Higher Education 2015 - http://www.mediafire.com/file/jmalah4a0y146i4/HigherEd.zip/file Stone Crusher (2016 BKT's) - http://www.mediafire.com/file/2s5iwij93quye6y/stoner16.zip Hooked 2018 - http://www.mediafire.com/file/8vageef9aatldvc/Hooked2018.zip/file OverBored 2019 - https://www.mediafire.com/file/314q2vvgd9nifk9/SteeleOverBoredPack.zip/file The Black Pearl 2019 - https://www.mediafire.com/file/314q2vvgd9nifk9/SteeleOverBoredPack.zip/file Bad Company 2018 (Ukraines) - http://www.mediafire.com/file/bl4i8mbxdeb04dn/BadCompany2018.zip/file Jester (2017) - http://www.mediafire.com/file/1gxxd15bw3lwtq6/PEIpackv21.zip/file Saigon Shaker 2016 - http://www.mediafire.com/file/rkg76q3qrsxqd1t/Saigon2016.zip/file Barbarian 2018 (2015 Body) - http://www.mediafire.com/file/knce8gtxmtc99ky/Barbarian2018Pack.zip/file I am so excited to be able to bring one of the most legendary competitions ever held on this site back for a new generation of racers to enjoy, and to also possibly take some of the old guard on a trip down memory lane. I can't wait to see how the story will unfold in the latest chapter of this storied series, and to see who will etch their name into the history books. 10 Drivers. 1 Crown. Who will rise up and claim it? Only time will tell... "The king has returned, long live the king!"
  12. Now that's a last name I haven't seen in a while. I remember your dad very well, used to race and chat with him quite a bit. Matter of fact, him and his brother were some of the first people I ever raced with when I got into this dealio. Hope all is well with him cause I haven't heard from him in ages, but yes a fair number of us still play though some do on a limited basis.
Not 100% perfect, but still very good overall for your first big replica project.
  13. Chadwick Deerfoot CMDeerfoot#5139 Shock Therapy
you always have unique takes on custom trucks, and this is no exception; nicely done once again.
  14. Good to see ya back, I remember racing ya back in the day in some of the older leagues. Actually cool to see some of the other veterans returning to this place.
