I remember when the original article was written in 2013 and was posted here. Oggy wrote it, for those who remember him. He ran back in the beginning of Sim-Monsters and RORMJ, not sure if he ran back in MTM2 but he might have. Had some conflict with people in the community and was banned from the league and site after a while. Here's the original thread when it was posted, does a better job explaining at least what was originally said than what I can do:

With the ever growing desire for tutorials for content creation now, I figured I'd finally start putting together some videos for track making. I will be doing more with time, covering specific topics of track making and the steps within it. Hopefully people can learn from this as well as share other ideas and tricks they've learned over time. You should take note that everything I am showing are (mostly) methods I follow and use all the time. There are other methods to track making and I hope everyone can take the time to experiment with Blender and find a way that is best suited for you. If I am not busy today or sometime this week, I will try to put up a hitbox stream of me modelling some stuff. You guys can ask questions while I do things and try to help everyone out. I'll be sure to make sure everything is saved for future reference.
