  1. Morgan Kane wins the first show in Salt Lake City. I'm exhausted and I'm going to both shows tomorrow so I'll just do a quick wrap up. I haven't been able to follow monsters as much as I'd hoped, so I didn't realize that this was the new gold Max D's debut. There were 3 rollovers, which is as many as I'd seen in the Vivint SmartHome Arena in the past 15 years. They did circle track racing in place of obstacle course. I don't think they've ever done any type of head to head racing besides straight line drags until tonight in the VSHA. NEA rolled in wheelies and wasn't running right after that. Speedsters are okay in the circle track portion and actually pretty exciting for a side act in the obstacle course portion. Morgan and Coty (with one of the three rolls) had probably the two best runs I've seen in that arena and finished 1st and 2nd respectively IIRC. I'm so glad that Feld decided to bring the Amsoil Series shows here. It was great, but admittedly very weird to see the new format after 16 years of wheelies->racing->freestyle with random side acts in between.
  2. It's just unfortunate that so many promoters seem to value cutting costs over taking safety precautions. Yeah, I get it. They're a business. But it seems like a stupid business move. IMO it's a wiser choice to lose out on a small amount of ticket sales and make sure everybody is safe, than it is to ignore safety procedures and risk paying through the nose for lawsuits/etc if an accident happened. They'd lose out on, like, a few thousand maybe for tickets, versus potentially millions if something went wrong.
  3. I thought that after George Eisenhart, most promoters learned that it's a terrible idea to have people out on the floor when trucks are moving. It should be pretty obvious but I guess it's lost on some of them... Let's also not ignore that there are no safety holds either, which is another pet peeve of mine when it comes to shows. This pic is like a guide on how NOT to run a safe show.
  4. You don't need to ask. If it doesn't specifically say it's for 0.4, it's not compatible.
  5. If it's a one-off just for Madusa, that's cool I guess. But I'm really really hoping that we don't see another wrestling sponsorship. I like wrestling but I don't want them to try the cringy garbage again (like the NWO thng), otherwise it'll just be 2000 all over again.
  6. I had this happen to me also. You can extract the zip to a folder in Documents/Rigs of Rods [version]/Vehicles and it should load fine.
  7. Wait, I thought that kid believed the driver of Doomsday was a robot. Am I thinking of something else here?
  8. Color me spooked I'm always down for a good poopost
  9. They're coming to Salt Lake? I guess I'm going for the whole weekend of shows
  10. All you did was use the paint brush tool over the original textures. It's not cloned either. Don't waste your time downloading this.
  11. OK, whatever you say. IDK how it turned out because I had to use my Dad's phone (my battery died), but I took a picture of the Tony Farrell tribute earlier tonight if you want to add that, Johan.
  12. So Rocky Mountain Raceways was... interesting, to say the least. The monster trucks were pretty good, but there was so much downtime. People give Feld poo for having short shows, but I'd say the opposite is much worse. There was a good hour of the show at least that was spent removing trucks or cleaning up after a crash, including almost half an hour cleaning up antifreeze from one of the stock car wrecks. That being said, IIRC the announcer said Larry Swim won racing last night and Creten won the wheelie contest. (They do wheelies instead of freestyle on Saturday.) In the first overly long delay of the night, something on Wild Thang broke. All I saw was a gear and a metal cover of some sort. Whatever it was, it took like ten minutes for them to get the truck off the track. Trent Montgomery in Knucklehead (sadly the SUV and not the abomination that I wanted to see) beat Dawn Creten in the semis, and Swim beat Jimmy Creten in what could have been a record pass. Unfortunately, Knucklehead broke immediately and pulled into the pits after the first jump, so it was basically a bye run for Swim to win. Freestyle was one of the best I can remember at RMR. Save for a few trucks that were clearly not 100%, everybody put on pretty great runs. Wild Thang got probably the biggest air I've ever seen off of the back of a racing lane. The Groth brothers both did awesome, especially Tyler. Maverik got some big air, but the truck shut down, and it took them about five minutes to move the truck literally 2 trucklengths forward. Josh Gibson in the Retro Bigfoot did an amazing wheelie/save combo, but again, it took forever to get the truck off the track. Jimmy Creten was doing really well, with great momentum and some pretty sick slap wheelies, but I think the transmission blew up during a donut. Trent Montgomery had quite possibly the best run I've ever seen at RMR. Excellent momentum, a few huge jumps, and he wheelied all the way down the straightaway twice. Larry Swim's run was not that good, to be honest, but his truck doesn't really look like it's set up for a freestyle track like RMR. Basically you're limited to slap wheelies and big jumps if you're willing to land on asphalt from 15-20 feet up, and the truck's suspension looked too soft for either of those things to really be viable. Pretty good show, but the downtime was ridiculous. I understand that they need to be thorough in cleaning the track for safety reasons, but the track crew just seemed lost and disorganized. It sucks because I've been to many RMR shows, and they were never as slow at getting the track cleaned as they were tonight. A bunch of people left because freestyle didn't start until almost 10 PM. Overall, though, the monsters were good enough that I'm satisfied. I just hope that they're not this slow next time. TL;DR- Swim wins racing and Trent Montgomery wins freestyle at Rocky Mountain Raceways. Extremely long delays due to track maintenance and truck removal.
  13. One of monster jam fan's custom tracks was basically World Finals 15. It has like the most minor of differences from what I can recall, but it's so similar that the .terrn file is even called "WF15." I guess it's not up anymore, though... Maybe you can ask monster jam fan if he can send it to you? The track is great! My only suggestion is to rotate the crowd texture; it's sideways. Otherwise, it's fantastic.
  14. Agreed. Besides, a lot of Diggers desperately need updates. Not only that, but whining about "too many Diggers" is infinitely more annoying than "too many" Diggers being made. Seriously, what is the problem? If you don't like seeing Diggers in this thread, just scroll down. If a Digger gets released, just don't download it.
  15. I love World Finals 3 in its entirety just because I can remember watching the pay-per-view as a kid. That being said, this move from Dennis was my all-time freestyle moment for years (1:13): This is pretty ordinary today, but this was amazing to six year old me. On a side note, Hogewood was a spaz, but I'll be honest and say that Douglas/Hogewood is my favorite Monster Jam commentary duo. I'd much prefer those two guys to the Douglas/Schroeder commentary.
  16. Monster Truck Destruction is finally patched. The menus work with the mouse now, and my Xbox 360 controller is working properly as well. There are still a few AI issues though. They've also added multiplayer, but I haven't tried it yet.
  17. The monsters' track itself is pretty nice. However, my favorite part is all the detail surrounding it. The parking lot and the little things like port-a-potties and the concession stand on Seekonk is pretty cool. Reminds me of the more ambitious MTM2 tracks that included little things like that
  18. This is a day that will live in infamy: something Harlow made actually got released. It Brown Mutt looks great, but I haven't been able to get Dalmatian to spawn. It says it's missing RedSwaybar.mesh. It's not in the zip, but there are a bunch of garbage files with no extension in the zip. Did that happen to anyone else, or is it just me? EDIT- Just to clarify, I have all my monster truck stuff in one folder in Vehicles. I've searched that folder and it doesn't have RedSwaybar.mesh in it; the only thing that comes up is Dalmatian's truck file, because it has that filename in it.
  19. EDIT- Upon closer inspection, I'm a moron. The lines on the bottom of the bed/door were also just straight lines on the original red Snake Bite. However, this is a definite lack of detail on the door. Here's a page with pics of the original Snake Bite: http://monsterphoto.iwarp.com/snake1a.htm. I can't link any of them straight from the page because LOLCANTRIGHTCLICK
  20. Monster Truck Destruction is out on Steam and on sale until next Friday: http://store.steampowered.com/app/324760/ EDIT- The game is kinda broken right now. Menus are not working... somehow EDIT 2- Wow, this is a disaster. Menu controls don't work, you have to Alt-F4 out of the game, and I just watched Snake Bite struggle to finish a race for 30 seconds after I won. I would recommend holding off on buying it for now
  21. Wow, uh, what just happened? (9:04)
  22. Wow, this is a trainwreck. I'm not saying that's a bad thing either
  23. Good point... I can still hope though. Either way, one of these past few Finals will be made eventually.
  24. Just saying, SSRS runs all 2015 replica tracks, and their last event is the World Finals. Give it another month or so.
  25. EDIT- Nevermind I don't care anymore, delete please
